Art for Change is raising funds to buy land and build an Art Center.
This center will provide a home for the organisation, a place that artists and others can retreat, forge relationships, create art, and grow in their understanding of how art shapes society for the common good. For the last 14 years Art for Change has been renting office space, accommodation, studio space, and exhibition space in New Delhi. Considerable time and cost has gone into paying for each of these spaces and the frequent moves needed to find affordable options.
The new Art Center will provide

A retreat space - a place for young emerging artists, typically at the start of their careers, to get away, spend time together and create.

A base to reach out to the community - no longer moving from place to place will allow Art for Change to build local patronage, provide art activities for educational institutions, promote traditional artisans and regional culture, and truly serve marginalized communities through art.

Income and cost savings - no longer will they pay rent for all the spaces they need but instead they can rent out the facilities when they are not being used by Art for Change programs, along with other income generating opportunities.
Art For Change are aiming to raise a total of $640,000 for the purchase of land. Their goal is to raise 50% inside India and 50% internationally. Of the International amount they have been able to raise $111,373 as of August 2022. The goal is to raise the remaining $208,627 by December 31, 2023. Any donation large or small is significant as they seek to meet their targets.
